- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients in a health insurance office setting.
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Review and analyze insurance applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Update client records with insurance information and billing details.
- Assist clients with understanding their insurance benefits and coverage.
- Collaborate with health insurance call center staff to resolve any insurance-related issues or discrepancies.
Skills Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of insurance plans and terminology preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying insurance information.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping.
