Director of Nursing (Education) - Practical Nursing Program

Come join the Prism family! The Director of Nursing oversees the Nursing Program.
He/she is directly responsible and accountable for the fulfillment of the mission, educational goals, objectives and policies of the Nursing Program.
The Director maintains the academic requirements required to ensure compliance with the regulations of the New Jersey State Board of Nursing (NJBON).
The DON manages the effectiveness, student satisfaction and efficient operation of all activities of the department, and will be responsible for meeting or exceeding all regulations and standards of the state and the accrediting commission.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the approved Nursing Program Provide leadership for nursing faculty and staff Promote a positive, professional work environment Coordinate the assigning, supervising and evaluating of the nursing faculty Meet the academic needs of the student Promote and support student retention goals and student success with the NCLEX exam Direct and participate in the educational planning for faculty and staff Direct and maintain student advisement Generate program reports as required Serve as a liaison between the nursing instructors and School Management Participate in professional meetings, activities and organizations Assure student advising are completed per company policy to assure satisfactory progress towards graduation requirements of the program Conduct evaluations of performance as required according to company policy Attend all pinning and graduation ceremonies as scheduled by the campus Demonstrate management and communication skills, and the knowledge and ability to judge instructors' competence Ensure newly hired faculty receive an experienced faculty member who facilitates the orientation period of the newly hired faculty member.
Actively engage in student affairs and ensure sound educational instruction is being delivered in accordance with industry best practices Maintain an environment conducive to the teaching/learning process
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing, with experience in nursing, nursing education and educational administration required.
Evidence of professional leadership within Nursing.
Excellent communication skills.
Current RN license in the State of New Jersey.
Minimum of five years' work experience in nursing.
Three years management experience in Nursing Education and educational administration.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
