Short DescriptionCooper University Health Care in New Jersey and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) are seeking a new Chair and Chief of Surgery.

We are looking for:
An academic surgeon with demonstrated excellence in patient care and medical education who will ensure an outstanding learner experience and commitment to faculty development.
An individual with strong administrative experience, including successful practice management skills and achievements in quality improvement who will advance the department and achieve regional and national recognition, An individual with an established national reputation and experience in research who will deepen and strengthen the departmental research platform.
An individual with strong cross-organizational leadership experience driving programmatic development while generating a culture fostering inquiry and inclusivity.
Overview The Department of Surgery has sixty-nine surgeons across twelve divisions.
The divisions include Trauma/ACS, Vascular, Plastics, OMFS, Otolaryngology, Thoracic, General, Colorectal, Bariatric, Breast, Cardiac, and Urology.
The Departmental faculty demonstrate an excellent track record of scholarly achievement.
There are residency training programs in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Otolaryngology.
There is a fellowship in Trauma/Critical Care.
The Department of Surgery performed 12,000 surgical cases in 2022.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
