Prior experience in healthcare/retirement community setting preferred 1.
Support the community's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.

Services all maintenance requests of resident, visitors and staff utilizing the TELS system.
3.
Assists in preventive maintenance work such as changing filters, oiling pumps, etc.
4.
Maintain and document schedule of hot water checks in resident's rooms, baths, showers and all general hot water sources in the community.
5.
Assure the proper maintenance and running condition of all electricity and plumbing in the entire community.
6.
Assure the proper maintenance and running condition of all equipment in the building 7.
Check and replace all air filters in all unites in the community.
8.
Schedule with contracted companies and observe periodic inspections 9.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of any changes in Federal and State Regulations 10.
Prepare a plan of correction as required by State and Federal surveys and submit to Administrator for approval.

Supervise maintenance department staff.
13.
Review and approve all maintenance department staff payroll.
14.
Plans fire and disaster drills and emergencies.
15.
Performs preventative maintenance on transportation vehicles.
16.
Perform any and all other duties as may be required from the Executive Director/Administrator.
17.
Be on call seven (7) days a week, 24 hours a day to Troubleshoot any kind of emergency or urgent repair.
Qualifications:
(Include required education, certifications, licenses and experience.
) High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical school diploma and/or trade apprenticeship certification Licensure:
One of the following, (or willing to obtain in 12 months) Electronic, HVAC, Boiler, Electrical, Plumbing Licensure or Certificate.
At least Two years experience in general structural building maintenance including, but not limited to, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, HVAC, and Refrigeration, Heating and Preventive Maintenance, preferably in a health care setting.
Ability to work with and around the elderly.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
