Summary:
We are seeking a friendly highly organized and detail-oriented Law Assistant to join our team.
The Law Assistant will provide support to our solo attorney by performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as deeds, will, fee agreements, and general correspondence.
- Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are properly filed - Prepare and manage correspondence, including drafting letters and emails - Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys - Maintain the firm's document management system, ensuring all files are accurate and up to date Requirements:
- Proven experience working for a solo practitioner.
- Familiarity with document management systems and legal case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including grammar and spelling.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Dropbox - Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion - Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.

All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
