Senior ETL Administrator - Datastage
This is NOT an entry level position. They must be very experienced and skilled with operating Datastage in a production environment. Must be willing to be flexible with work hours. Some late night/early morning support is required.
This individual will be responsible for performing administration of IBM Datastage v8.0 ETL tool.
They will work with the US datawarehouse ETL developers to implement ETL solutions.
The ETL admin will be part of a team responsible for building out and maintaining the US data warehouse. This individual will be supporting several projects within this development team. They will be handling administrative functions within the ETL system, setting up environment variables, running jobs to backload data, support outages and some development work as needed.
They should be proficient at running Datastage/Quality stage Enterprise Edition, writing/maintaining Unix Shell Scripts. They should also be able to help troubleshoot production ETL job issues and document software and operational procedures. They will also need to work independently with little direct supervision in the administration of ETL and provide detailed analysis of problems and recommends solutions.
Must Have
-Extremely strong Datastage experience ? must be very self sufficient and knowledgeable.
-Shell Scripting experience.
-Oracle 10 G and 11G experience.
-Prior experience in IBM Information Server (Datastage) versions 8 and 9 enterprise edition
-SUSE LINUX
-Information Analyzer experience
-Should have dimensional database design experience.
Nice to Have:
-Any experience in installing and/or knowledge of Datastage version 8.1, 8.7, or 9.x would be nice to have.
-Any development experience would be helpful.
-Meta Data or Quality Stage experience would be helpful
- Contract to hire with reasonable salary expectations
Soft Skills:
Candidate must have extremely strong analytical skills.
Candidate must be a very clear and effective communicator.
Candidate must do well in a team environment but also have the ability to achieve individual results.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
