Our client, located in Mt. Laurel, NJ is seeking a Java/J2EE Programmer Analyst for an immediate full-time position. Details include:
Scope and Dimensions of Job:
A Java developer is needed to support and formulate new development on the Reinsurance platform used to support the enterprise wide Maiden Reinsurance system. The plan is to develop a new system per Maiden Re, Maiden Insurance, and Maiden IIS business requirements in Java utilizing the Google Web Toolkit.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Employ Java and web application development skills to support and build solutions for enterprise reinsurance system. Maintain existing solutions to meet latest business and technical requirements. Developing and testing of application components based on design specifications. Provide technical analysis to support the Team. Candidate will be required to work closely with team members and business users.
-Development and implementation of applications across current systems.
-Participate in the full development life cycle.
-Ability to handle multiple projects.
-Establish time estimates for projects and for individual work.
-Participates with team to integrate all designs into the current environment.
-Effectively communicates technical information to non-technical internal business clients.
Position Requirements:
Experience:
-5 years hands on software development experience with Java, J2EE & Web development.
-3 years hands on experience with Oracle and SQL server data
-2 years technical experience within the financial services or insurance field
Education:
-Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Advanced skills in Java, J2EE, Hibernate ORM, SQL, Web Frameworks (Ideally Google Web Toolkit).
-Web Services JAX-RS, JAX-WS.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Hands on experience with test driven development (integrated unit and component testing)
-Strong communication skills
-Demonstrated ability to work with team to build solutions
-Knowledge of IBM FileNet P8 Process and Content Engine API a plus
