Job Description o Prepare and analyze Basel III Standardized US Capital submissions to US financial regulatory body
o Prepare reporting summary for Basel III Standardized US Capital disclosure for senior management review
o Provide fast resolution to ad hoc capital requests
o Accountable for understanding Basel III regulatory requirements for reporting to both the Canadian and US regulators
o Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work accordingly
o Ability to analyze and logically summarize financial matters for discussion and review
o Strong attention to detail is required
o Ability to achieve results with minimal management intervention and assistance
o Will play a key role in implementation of B III Std approach, and related reporting
o Must work with stakeholders in determination of B III Std data requirements
o Must establish appropriate data governance and attestation for B III Std process
o Will establish controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of B III Std reporting
o Ability to proactively interact with business partners, and independently drive project resolution
o Manage a team of financial analysts
Job Requirements
1. Conducts and/or manages the finance process as it applies to area of responsibility
2. Has an excellent perspective of the whole finance function and the key business areas supported
3. May involve integration of 1-2 functions and/or business lines
4. Focus is on complex and/or specialized analysis with a yearly time span
5. Leads activities of unit, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
7-10 years related experience required
Proven interpersonal and consultative communication skills with well-developed presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, develop, lead, and execute projects
o business analysis, testing, bank accounting, regulatory reporting and Basel III knowledge preferred
o CPA or MBA a plus
o Strong PC and data management skills required - Excel expert
o Working experience with data mart applications (to perform analysis and reporting) is a strong plus
o High degree of personal initiative
o Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts
