General Summary (Mission Statement

In 24x7x365 environment monitor; systems, batch, applications and networks, perform scheduled tasks, first level Incident diagnosis, resolution and escalation, ensuring system availability and timely completion of batch and scheduled tasks.
Essential Job Responsibilities
:
1. Requires weekend and holiday coverage
2. Operate computer effectively to complete tasks
3. Monitor systems, applications, batch and environmental
4. Perform documented recovery procedures for systems, applications, batch and environmental
5. Complete scheduled tasks
6. Open, update and close Incident Reports
7. Monitor escalated Incidents for progression towards resolution
8. Resolve problems with minimum supervision
9. Communicate effectively to clients, vendors, support teams
10. Assist Shift Supervisor where and when needed
Key Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
o Working knowledge of JCL, PCS, VSE, VM, VOLLIE, DYNAM, FAQS, Power/VS, Windows, Windows Services, Appworx, Networking, File Transfer, System Monitoring
o First level problem determination
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o 1-2
years' experience as a Computer Operator
